With global warming, increasing air pollution and depletion of oil reserves haunting the planet, electric cars are definitely a boon. Electric cars are not only good for the environment but they also help save on fuel costs. Most of the new electric cars
available may be unconventional in shape and design. However, an easier option is to either buy an already converted electric car or simply convert one’s own car.
What type of car is needed for conversion?
The car needs to be lightweight with a curb weight of approximately 2000-3000 lbs and have a manual transmission. In terms of body design, the car needs to have enough space to contain all the batteries.
