Energy-Saving Power Strip

What is an energy-saving power strip?

Electronic devices in many homes draw power even after they have been switched off. Computers, printers, and scanners draw similar amounts of power in spite of being turned off. The stereo, television, and DVD player also end up wasting a lot of power even when they are idle. This “Phantom Load” could add up to 10% to a household’s total electricity bill. In such cases, the power strip is a great way to conserve power. It has multiple outlets which allow a number of devices to remain connected. Instead of switching off various devices to conserve energy, the power strip which connects all the devices can be easily unplugged. It not only conserves energy but also reduces the energy bill.
